Frequently Asked Questions

Can we run this beside our existing timing software?

Yes. Most clubs either run two timing laptops side-by-side with separate operators, or use a serial splitter so one hardware feed drives both systems during evaluation events.

Do drivers need to install an app?

No. Drivers can open liveTiming.club in any modern browser. They can optionally install it to their home screen for a native-app feel.

What happens if internet service drops at the venue?

Timing operations continue offline. Data syncs automatically when connectivity returns.

What if our main timing laptop crashes during an event?

If you were running your event online, plug FarmTek or RaceAmerica hardware into a backup laptop, sign in, and continue without re-creating the event.

How can we make switching systems low risk?

Run a side-by-side event first. Let drivers compare live results while your timing team keeps the current process as a safety net.
